Job Description

Candidates with a complete application will be considered for vacancies that match the geographic locations, specialties, and/or job preferences.Position Details:Positions available for a Medical Officer (Hospitalist) in the Internal Medicine department at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona. Hospitalist will provide direct inpatient care, inpatient consultation services and defined surgical procedures in the specialty of Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics or Family Medicine. WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: U.S. Citizens, Current and Former competitive service Federal employees, active U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, Indian Preference and Veteran Preference candidates.APPOINTMENT: Positions may be filled as Permanent, Term or Temporary appointments. The Agency has the option of extending Term appointments for up to 4 years.WORK SCHEDULE: Positions may be filled as Full-time, Part-time, or Intermittent work schedules.TITLE 38 MARKET PAY:  GS-13: $175,000 to $195,000 range. Specific salary information for medical specialties.GOVERNMENT HOUSING: Private housing only.This position requires that you obtain and maintain clinical privileges. If they are not obtained or maintained during employment, the employee may be subject to adverse actions, up to and including removal from the Federal service.
