Position Summary:
The Regional Marketing Analyst (RM and Sales Analyst) will be responsible for providing operational and analytical support to ensure the Regional Segment Marketing and Programs and Events teams are able to serve their customers effectively.  An effective RM and Sales Analyst will support business partners throughout the Lead to Order Fulfillment commercial workflow and provide insight into the success of the specific initiatives mapped out by the team.  This role will work closely with the AMR Segment Marketing and Program Marketing teams to provide commercial reporting solutions as well as administration of key processes related to Program and Events, market segmentation growth, opportunity analysis and other operational needs.  The analyst will be responsible for ensuring key commercial data utilized across systems and process is accurate, complete, and up to date.  Additionally, the RM and Sales Analyst will administer and update a tracker looking at each functions activities holistically, providing insight and analysis to leadership as needed. The ideal candidate will have a background supporting various members of a Commercial organization with a focus on analytics and or operational excellence. The candidate will be comfortable in a fast paced, high demand environment, where attention to detail and accuracy are paramount to success. 


  • Assist with data quality activities focused on sales process optimization and pipeline health
  • Administer the design, development, and training of analytic tools for each business function with a focus on increasing visibility and utilization of existing reports in Commercial Operations
  • Develop reports and summary analysis measuring the success of programs and market segment initiatives.
  • Develop a quarterly tracker to be used for planning and monitoring of the key metrics and KPI’s for each marketing program/initiative and market segment growth
  • Review and provide insight to reports used by the AMR commercial team in support of daily operations, monthly/quarterly metrics and business initiatives
  • Establish a Quarterly Business Review template and facilitate the quarterly inputs by each team.
  • Act as primary resource for researching, validating, proposing new commercial applications to support customers across the lead to fulfillment continuum.
  • Partner with the Global Sales Operations and GIS teams for implementation of new tools, policies and processes.
  • Provide general sales administration and operational support functions for Illumina Commercial Operations organization focused on Marketing platforms (SFDC, Hive9, Cvent, Pardot)
  • Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement with a focus on the front half of the funnel.
  • Maintain policy documents and train team members accordingly
  • Performs other duties as required


  • Background must include at least 2-3 years of sales/commercial/marketing operations experience.
  • Salesforce.com experience required
  • Experience using a Marketing Automation Platform (Marketo, Pardot, etc) required
  • Event registration tool experience preferred (Cvent, Hive9)
  • Tableau development experienced preferred
