Job Description:

To support our growth, ICF International (ICF) is seeking electrical engineers to work in our Distributed Energy Resources consulting practice. The role will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. Consultants at ICF will have an opportunity to apply their experience and academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, and interact with experts and clients in the field, while building content knowledge and consulting skills. Consultants advance in our consulting practice and develop an area of special competence, with increasing responsibility for project management and client contact in their area of special competence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide in-depth, first-of-its-kind analysis of the impact and integration of distributed energy resources on electric distribution and transmission networks.

- Advanced quantitative and economic analysis, policy and regulatory research and support, and technical analysis focused on distributed energy resources including solar, combined heat and power (CHP), storage, electric vehicles and demand response.

- Proposal writing for commercial and government opportunities

- Continued development of industry expertise in solar Distributed Generation, Combined Heat Power and Distributed Resource

- Co-authoring journal articles, white papers and marketing pieces

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering disciplines

- Experience working on energy-related projects (including school work and internships)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

- Master's Degree in engineering, business or related quantitative discipline

- Distribution engineering experience or knowledge

- Distributed generation experience including solar

- Understanding of electric and gas utilities at wholesale or distribution level

- Exceptional research skills, including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis skills
