General Accountabilities:

  • Reporting to the Manager - Work Management, this person will be accountable to provide support through information accumulation, analysis, presentation, reporting and problem solving in regards to business and project planning, execution and closeout and continuous improvements.
  • Provide support with programming activities including operational business planning, work program preparation, integration and implementation of work program, performance monitoring and reporting, and improvement of business processes.
  • Assist with performance/compliance evaluation and reporting on the work program and project performance and the recommendation and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Extracting and gathering cost, schedule, resource and any information related to Tx & Stn’s work program and project planning and execution.
  • Analysis of information pertaining to project and process in support of Project Delivery and Work Program Management.
  • Development and production of reports, performance measures and enhancements in aid of monthly/annual business requirements and targets.
  • Problem solving, recommendation and implementation of corrective and continuous improvement actions.
  • Training and documentation of processes, guidelines and procedures related to work program management and project management.
  • Communication and interfacing with partner groups, including Project Delivery, Engineering, Asset Management, Stations Services, Regulatory, Internal Audit and Finance.
  • Maintain competency/expertise in required areas including the utilization of software applications such as: SAP, MS Suite (Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Access, InfoPath), SharePoint and Primavera P6 Scheduling System.
  • Coordinate resolution of specific work program issues common to the division.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Selection Criteria & Essential Competencies:

  • Requires the ability to extract data from various systems and analyze accordingly
  • Requires advanced abilities in Excel and Microsoft Suite for analysis, reporting and presentation of data and work program and business planning
  • Requires the ability to develop, enhance and maintain reports required for work program management
  • Requires an in-depth working knowledge of: Project Management, Engineering and Construction theory and practices, scheduling, estimating, costing in support of Transmission and Distribution capital work, work processes and procedures, reporting methods and software tools.
  • Experience with SAP, BI is required
  • Experience with P6, Access and InfoPath is required
  • Requires exercising sound judgment while analyzing information available, and determining what additional information may be required for further analysis and problem solving for thoroughly evaluating the alternatives, constituting measures required to arrive at the most optimum approach.
  • Requires an advanced attention to details
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Requires ability to work independently and with interfacing related groups.
  • This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of four years of University training in an appropriate field (eg engineering, business administration, finance, computer science) or by having the equivalent level of education.
  • A period of over 6 years and up to and including 8 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
