Job Description:

P&C Technical Services provides technical direction, advice, guidance and assistance to field maintenance crews, Head Office and other personnel in the installation, inspection, commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and safety of Hydro One Transmissions system Protection, Control, monitoring, and metering systems. This department participates in the development, writing and implementation of procedures, directives and bulletins for work on all types of power system apparatus and ancillary equipment and participates in the investigation of equipment failures or other unusual occurrences, making recommendations for equipment repair, removal or replacement, where necessary.


During the first two years of training, all New Grads will have the opportunity to work both at the head office and in field positions. 


Selection Criteria

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering/Applied Science, Engineering & Management, Systems Design Engineering, or Engineering Science/Physics

Specialization or experience with power systems preferred


Please note, this job will frequently require the New Grad to travel and drive between various work locations.  A full G-class drivers license is a mandatory requirement for this position. 



Candidates selected for this position will be included in Hydro One's New Grad training and development program. Over the course of this two-year program you will have the opportunity to rotate through several jobs allowing you to gain experience working on different projects and in different environments. In addition, you will be provided with a range of technical and non-technical training.
