Job Description

Job Description:

Huntsman currently has a challenging opportunity for a dynamic individual as a Summer Intern located at our Advance Technology Center in The Woodlands, TX. This internship position will provide technical support and research activities including thermoset resin synthesis and evaluation, composite formulation.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Experimental evaluation.
* Data collection, reporting and evaluation.
* Literature searching.
* Planning research methodology.
* Preparing Final Report.

General Responsibilities:

* Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
* Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.
* Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
* Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Education and Experience:

* Pursuing a Chemistry, Materials or Chemical Engineering Bachelor's degree.
* Completed or working towards obtaining a graduate level degree in Chemical Materials or Mechanical Engineering.
* At least one technical paper published in scientific journals or presented in scientific meeting.
* General understanding of thermoset chemistry and composites.

Specific Skills and Knowledge:

* Experience with composite manufacturing, processes as well as understanding of thermoset chemistry.
* Experience with fluid dynamic concepts and their application in composites.
