RN Float # Premium Program Position Summary Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance. # Primary Position Responsibilities Facilitate and Coordinate Total Patient Care Documentation of Care Maintain Professional Development Education of patient and family Patient Advocate Maintain Patient Safety Other duties as assigned # Work Contact Group (Internal/External) HMC employees, Providers, Patients and Family, Visitors # Vendors # Reporting Relationships Reports to (position): Administrative Director Medical Surgical Nursing Supervises (position(s): Patient Care Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Nurse Intern, Unit Coordinator, Patient Safety Assistant # Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor#s Degree in Nursing. OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire and complete program within 5 years of date of hire. Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 3 or more years acute care experience# In-patient Float requires med surg experience Procedure Float requires telemetry experience Preferred: Specialty training for critical care. License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current NJ RN licensure, American Heart Association CPR certification, ACLS, PALS, CPI training is required and must be renewed annually. Must obtain Crisis Prevention (CPI) certification within 6 months of hire.# HMC will provide the CPI course. #
