Job Description

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Hudson Housing Authority is seeking highly qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for the management of 126 State Chapter 667 public housing units, 16 units of special needs housing, 69 Federal Housing Choice Vouchers, 32 Mass Rental Vouchers (MRVP), 92 Federal public housing units, 2 units for AVAH non-profit, and 40B monitoring agent for 2 rental complexes in Hudson, MA. The candidate must be familiar with both Commonwealth of Massachusetts Housing (DHCD) requirements and U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Federal housing programs. Four years’ experience in a housing, community development, public administration, or a closely related field. Knowledge of principles and practices of housing management, finances and maintenance systems in public or private housing. One year’s experience overseeing at least three staff persons or program administration is required. Written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of laws regulating State and Federal housing programs. Experience working with people of various socio-economic backgrounds. Must be bondable. Certification as Public Housing Manager from a HUD approved organization is desired, and may be substituted by certification as a property manager or similar classification by a nationally recognized housing or real estate organization or by certification as a MPHA of a DHCD approved Mass Public Housing Administrator Certification Program. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for up to two years of experience. Minimum Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with experience and education, and will include excellent benefits in accordance with DHCD and HUD guidelines. Location: Hudson, MA.
