Summary

The Human Resources part-time clerk will be responsible for answering phones, covering the switchboard, opening and distributing mail, copying, filing, and scanning documents and greeting and assisting Human Resources clients.

This is a part-time position, twenty-five hours per week, Monday through Friday 10 AM- 3 PM. Pay rate is $10+ per hour.

Key Duties

* Open, sort, and distribute the mail (Corporate and HR Office)
* Greet and assist job applicants and candidates
* Answer multi-line telephones
* Cover switchboard for breaks and lunch
* Type correspondence and other documents
* Scan, copy, and file documents
* Mass mailings and distributions
* Collate materials for new hire packages
* Print resumes from applicant tracking system
* Print and distribute "New Hire Welcome" Letters
* Key applications into SAP
* Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

* Education and Experience. This position typically is an entry-level part-time position supporting a busy Human Resources Department for a large, heavy civil construction company.

* Required to sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms.
* The employee may regularly be required to walk or stand and occasionally be required to lift up to 10 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
* Work Environment. The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a Human Resources Intern encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
* Work generally is performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to construction sites and manufacturing facilities may be required.
* Noise level in the typical office work environment is quiet.
