Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The Logistics Coordinator provides support for, and participates in, the analysis and modeling of transportation networks. The Logistics Analyst will document findings to support the development of logistics service value propositions and continuous improvement. In this role, the Logistics Analyst, will be highly motivated and has a solid understanding of transportation and logistics principles, economics, and supply chain network behavior.


* Complete required day to day operational and administrative load management requirements, including but not limited to: order management, routing, pickup/delivery management, track and trace, problem resolution and "system housekeeping".
* Develop and maintain carrier relationships, conduct review meetings, and resolve outstanding issues
* Provide highest level of service to customers and carriers
* Develop working knowledge of Transportation Management System (MercuryGate operating system)
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned
* Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time


* Bachelor's degree is preferred, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, Finance or Economics or any combination and experience, which would provide equivalent background.
* Entry level to 1 year work experience in third-party logistics, supply chain planning or logistics-related consulting is preferred.
* High level of competency and demonstrable skills in Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint, and proficiency with JDA Transportation Modeler program. Business Objects experience
* Working knowledge of how to execute freight in a Transportation Management System is preferred
* Must have excellent communications skills - interpersonal, verbal, written, telephone and be able to interact well with others in a team environment.
* Organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to establish and prioritize workload in order to meet team and company goals using good business judgment.
* Must be able to manage competing priorities by multi-tasking and meeting all deadlines and flexibility with continually changing priorities while providing high quality customer service
* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
* Knowledge of 3rd Party Logistics/Brokerage environment preferred
