Job Description

The Operations/Financial Controller at HP Manufacturing oversees all financial, accounting and payroll initiatives of our corporation. The Corporate Controller is a part of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the President. This position directs the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast our company's business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, cash, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations.

Responsibilities

  • Overseas the operation of the accounting department.
  • Participates in development and support of company's strategic plans.
  • Monitors and analyzes the financial performance of the company.
  • Ensures that internal controls are appropriately designed, documented and operating effectively.
  • Supervises the preparation of reports which summarize and forecast financial activities, including income & expenses, cash flow, and financial position.
  • Manages the calculation of variances from forecasts and reports significant issues to management.
  • Analyzes and interprets financial data as a basis for recommending improvements to overall business results.
  • Manages the preparation of payroll.
  • Overseas cash management and banking relationships.
  • Oversees property & liability insurance coverage.
  • Co-ordinates physical inventories while supervising the reconciling of inventory balances.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents inventory valuation discrepancies.
  • Coordinates the preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Other duties as assigned for business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • 5+ year's business experience in manufacturing with demonstrated cost savings.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management team.
