Job Description

Location:
Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking a
highly motivated Entry Level Systems Engineer for our Phoenix, AZ location in
Turbine Engine Control Systems. In this position, the candidate will work with
cross functional teams of engineers responsible for developing, implementing,
and supporting state-of-the-art software controlled, electronically driven,
auxiliary power unit control systems for a variety of new and existing
aircraft.

The control system group provides opportunities
for career development in a variety of areas. Such as: project roles, control
system logic development, customer integration, system bench test, engine and
flight test support, component development, and other areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Helping with system requirements definition,
tracing. Support development and validation of controls
system logic. Support control system bench testing for
software validation and certification. Support the creation of test plans and test
procedures and evaluate test data. Help create the related certification
documentation necessary for FAA approval. The candidate must focus on the importance of
customer responsiveness, meeting program milestones on schedule, and minimizing
cost and cycle time while improving product quality.

Additional information:

Ensure that work assignments are executed to
appropriate standards and quality systems (Implementation, Design, Test and
Documentation) Candidate should have good communications skills
and be able to work well in a team environment with a variety of people in
various roles. Monitor and control assigned work scope
against the project plan. Proactively recommend potential quality and
efficiency improvements within the engineering group. Ability to share technical knowledge with
project team, supervisor, and other engineering disciplines and report progress
and technical problems to program and/or engineering lead.
There is no relocation for this position.

Basic
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering. Due to ITAR restrictions, candidate must be a
US Citizen or Permanent Resident of US.

Additional Qualifications:

Prefer classroom experience in Control
Systems, Control Analysis, Jet Propulsion and Robotics GPA of 3.0 or higher. Matlab, Simulink, and C/C experience will be
beneficial. Ability to quickly learn how to use software
tools. Basic understanding of gas turbine engines is
desirable. Interpersonal skills to work with
cross-functional teams. Assertiveness at asking questions and gathering
information from the team. Should promote customer satisfaction with
capability to establish effective working relationships with internal
customers, and test personnel. Self-starter, ability to work independently
and able to work as a team player. Able to perform multiple tasks with some
supervisory oversight and interested in expanding his/her capabilities. Should Desire to develop a broad knowledge of
engine control systems and who is adept at problem solving, innovation, and
decision making.
