Honeywell is hiring an entry level Systems Engineer at our Phoenix, AZ facility.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

* Duties include development of system design for commercial aircraft fly-by- wire controls, implementation of the design, system verification tests in a lab environment, and lab/simulation based support for all aspects of the effort
* The successful candidate will develop a broad understanding of a technically complex product and associated development processes while interfacing with various lead engineers across multiple aircraft systems
* He/she will exercise time management and co-ordination of global resources in the performance of their technical duties in order to meet demanding customer schedules


* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, from an accredited college or university
* Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident due to export control requirements
* Must not complete the highest level of education more than 12 months prior to hire date


* Advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, from an accredited college or university
* Candidate should be comfortable using Windows based development tools
* Experience using Mathworks, Matlab, and Simulink tools is highly desirable
* Training and/or experience with software languages including C/C++ is highly desirable
* Aviation experience with aircraft, avionics, or control systems is desired
* Ability to work in a self-directed and virtual environment
* Strong problem solving skills
* Skilled in the English Language (both verbal and written)
* Good written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with peers, third party suppliers, global resources, and software engineers.
