Job Description

This requisition reflects potential co-op/intern openings for the Spring 2020 Session. This is a general job description and represents multiple openings in various departments. College students must apply to this requisition to indicate their interest.


Research vehicle interface usability and driver distraction topics, plan and conduct user studies - focus groups, interview, surveys, collect and analyze data from participant videos, comments, and surveys, perform data analysis and write reports summarizing the results, provide design recommendations based on expertise and design understanding, predict market direction based on competitor, technology, and CE trends, coordinate discovery phase of user centered design, lead confirmation phase of user centered design.

Flexible work sessions - 3 month minimum length (6 month preferred)

Relocation/Housing Assistance (residence must be more than 75 miles away)

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, or Marketing, advanced degree a plus. Experience with user research methods - planning, moderating, and analyzing, knowledge of qualitative data analysis techniques, statistical analysis skills, competent investigative and analytical skills, aptitude in taking initiative, able to determine next steps to accomplish tasks or surmount obstacles, ability to learn new skills and adapt quickly, excellent at multitasking, ability to think outside of the box, knowledge of fundamental human factors concepts and terminology a plus.

Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.

Proficient PC Skills, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.

Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required.
