Position Description

Technical Ladder/ Electrical Engineer

Duties/Responsibilities

Develop expertise for Equipment in APDC

Ensure business plan targets, can be achieved for Safety, Quality, Production are met as they pertain to this role.

Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement projects

Support major shutdown and weekend activities

Develop and maintain equipment documentation

Electrical/Safety/PLC design and modification

Support other manufacturing areas as needed

Develop required reports to explain major items affecting SQP

Daily Task Performed

Interaction between multiple groups (Die, Equipment, Prod.)

Daily Checks on equipment settings and changeovers

Open communication between associates and management

Data analysis and documentation

Perform lineside walks of APDC areas

Follow up on previous days production concerns

Position Requirements

Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge

Ability to read and interpret product design drawings

Ability to create industrial equipment schematics

Minimum Job Relevant Experience-(Type & Length of Time)

2 years of relevant work experience or 1-year co-op experience

Education/Degree Certification Required

Undergraduate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Industrial Experience

Required Skills

Auto Cad or equivalent MS Office/PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Proven "hands on" experience

Strong communication, planning, and documentation skills

Self-motivated, and desire to work in manufacturing environment

Desired Skills and Abilities

Electrical/Safety/PLC Design Experience

Data collection system Experience

Robotic Programming Experience

Casting Experience

PLC Ladder/Structure Logic, Vision, Experience

Additional Work Factors

Environment candidates will be working in: Open Environment

Estimated amount of overtime: 5-10hrs/wk

Frequency, average duration of travel: 1-2 trips per year 3-5 day trips
