Job Description

The HomeAdvisor DevOps team is adding an adaptable, tech-passionate Junior Configuration Manager who will be part of the team responsible for all aspects of HomeAdvisor's source code and its deployment in a Linux/VMWare environment. We're looking for someone who loves technology, and is eager to learn a ton about how code gets deployed and is maintained between development and production. This entry-level role is an excellent launching pad for a career in SCM, development, and/or systems administration, and ultimately impacts how our customers access our applications.

What you'll do:
- Help our development staff get their code securely and quickly out to the production environment
- Assist our QA team in their constant quest to be more awesome by ensuring server reliability and test automation success
- Manage our Git code repositories for all external and internal applications
- Monitor and reevaluate current processes, with a keen eye toward efficiency improvements
- Work with the platform and test automation teams as we strive for continuous delivery

The tools you'll learn:
- SDLC best practices, especially Agile methodologies
- Continuous Integration Server (Jenkins, Bamboo)
- Version control systems (Git, SVN)
- Build Automation Tools (ANT, Maven, Gradle)
- Issue tracking systems (Jira)
- Scripting skills (Bash/Perl/Python)

And you'll also get some experience with:
- Cloud deployment, EC2, etc.
- Apache Tomcat
- Puppet deployment
- Asterisk Open PBX
- Selenium or another automated testing platform
