Position Purpose

Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health.

Job Summary:

Functions in first-line management/clinical leadership role in coordinating patient care activities in the Operating Room; ensures appropriate staffing and coverage for unanticipated needs as well as long and short term staff scheduling; promotes teamwork and collegial relationships with, and among staff; intervenes appropriately and keeps the OR Manager informed of departmental issues.

Job Requirements

Education:

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing or MSN preferred.

Experience & Skills:

* Previous 2-3 years experience as charge nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager in a Surgical Services unit is required
* Excellent leadership and organizational skills, focused on customer service

Licensure/Certification:

* Florida RN license
* ACLS
* BLS
* CNOR preferred
