HPREC is committed to providing quality services that improve student outcomes through: Quality professional development activities including: Workshops, mentoring and coaching on effective teaching practices, inclusion, behavioral management, integrating technology, mathematics, assessment/accountability, and more. Friday and Saturday Series ~ Monthly quality, exciting, & effective educational workshops for teachers, administrators, parents, & other school personnel. Summer Series ~ Intense, quality, effective educational workshops for teachers, administrators, & other school personnel during the summer months. Workshops, trainings, and consultation on Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) and curriculum-based measurement through AIMSweb. STEPS: Sustaining and Targeting Effectiveness Professional Series Statewide Special Education Law Conference. DIBELS Summit (National DIBELS Conference) Special Projects and Grants: Positive Behavior Support Transition to Teaching (Para-educator and substitute teachers training project) HPREC Reading Project Student Transition Activities ~ School-to-Work Programs Special education training, technical assistance, administrative support, and IDEA funding administration, as well as special education compliance. Dedicated and skilled ancillary staff (i.e., social workers, physical therapists, speech/language pathologist, diagnostician, occupational therapists, certified occupational therapist assistants, transition counselor, school psychologist, and audiologist) who provide quality services to students with special needs. A specialized Audiology Center providing evaluation, consultation, and support for individuals with hearing difficulties. Open to local schools, as well as the public.
