Hexcel is currently seeking a summer Tax Intern for our Stamford, CT location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Preparation of corporate federal, state, and local income tax returns using OneSource RS. Preparation of amended tax return Preparation of Hexcel's R&D tax credit study Establishing fixed asset records using FAS Managing the corporate tax department's tax filing calendar. Responding to tax notices from various tax jurisdictions Upload tax data in Compliance and Provision software Calculation of foreign corporations' E&P pools Preparation of Forms 5471 and 8858 Support the tax accounting manager with the quarterly closes. Assisting with foreign provision preparation process Support services required to accomplish the corporate tax group's goals. Other research assignments and special projects as assigned Compilation of information for tax audits Assist with quarterly tax charge out. Organize and maintain hard copy and digital tax files. Update and reorganize work papers. Assistance with filing of corporate tax returns as required. Qualifications: Minimum 3.0 GPA At least 2 years of college studies completed and working towards a four-year or graduate degree in accounting or finance. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow instructions as directed Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint Eligible candidate must be: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, a temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Act, a person admitted in refugee status, a person granted asylum.
