Job Description:

This role will be working within the Switch & Routing Firmware team within HP Networking. As an Associate Software Engineer you would be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs for software enhancements and new products. Developing software could include operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Responsibilities * Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools * Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues. * Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development. * Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products. Qualifications Required Education and Experience * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent * Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (cumulative) * Must be a recent graduate (2015) or graduating by January 2016 Required Knowledge and Skills * Minimum experience of having at least coursework or academic experience with C/C programming. Ideally will have some hands-on development. * Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages. * Good analytical and problem solving skills. * Understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types * Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures * Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
