Job Description

About us
We are a growing cloud infrastructure and service development team working inside the office of the CTO to provide scalable and globally distributed services for a rapidly growing collection of common web services that provide measurable value to our business partners. The team strives to develop and deliver our infrastructure as code while working closely with the development teams and users who need our services. We are huge proponents of automation and work to reduce the number of incidents by creating test frameworks that allow us to qualify our changes before pushing them into production. And we have had great success in hiring candidates with both traditional and non-tradition education sources and career paths.

About you
Are you technologist who enjoys learning new things and experimenting with new technologies? Are you self-driven to expand your skills and bring new and exciting ideas to the table? Do you have a strong desire to automate your way to more free time? Do you enjoy the safety of a team backing you up while you work to fail fast? If you answered yes to these, you don't need to have all the skills and technologies listed below in your tool belt right now as we will give you time to pick them up and many more, If so we want to talk with you.

About the position
Some companies call the position and SRE and others have start calling it a Devops Engineer or even Infrastructure engineer. It's not what you call it that matters, rather it's how you do it.. In this position we automate all our infrastructure from Linux OS to the database and other applications. We push on doing test driven development and use as many open source tools for the job as we can in order to not reinvent the wheel. You need to know how to google for answers, talk to your peers and come up with innovative solutions and tools to solve hard problems. One day you might be working on a software based load balancer and the next you might be working with AWS to solve issues with provisioning toolsets. You will get the opportunity to work and cover the entire stack from cloud infrastructure, automation, deployments, tuning, as well as design sessions and architectural road maps for our products. The entire team participates in the rotation schedule and we all respond to issues outside our core skills.
