Job Description

HP Storage is seeking to identify highly motivated and
qualified individuals for various future opportunities as Software Engineer -Storage Support Automation and Hosted Management Solutions. In anticipation of these opportunities becoming available, completing a profile will allow us to evaluate your qualifications.
HP is seeking an outstanding early career Software Engineer to play a key role in developing innovative new HP storage support automation solutions. These solutions allow internal customers, partners and end-users to optimize, manage, and protect their storage infrastructure.

You will be joining a team that is focused on common management across the entire storage portfolio - our innovations will influence what the customer sees first! The management and support interfaces for HP Storage products set the tone and shapes the customers perception of our Storage solutions. Our solutions are designed to meet the needs of large and small companies alike. Whether they have one or two systems in a closet, or thousands spread across the globe, HP Storage Management Solutions focus on the "Total Customer Experience". Which comes from developing a strong understanding of our customer's pain points, and designing, testing and delivering the solutions that meets those needs.

Technical contributor in a small team of developers focused a tiered Data Warehouse application delivered as SaaS in the public Cloud.

Responsibilities will include either an emphasis on either the front-end web service infrastructure, including innovative UI development. Alternatively the candidate will focus on developing complex business analytics integrated into our application to provide: visibility for upsell opportunities, proactive customer service, as well as integrated analytics to help improve the quality, reliability, and serviceability of our products.

Participate in the evolving architecture the next generation Support Automation Infrastructure that will allow us to scale out with customer demand for the foreseeable future.

Education and Experience
Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, and a minimum of 0-3 years' experience.
Knowledge and Skills

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in two or more of the following areas:

Developing, and deploying thin browser based applications connecting to REST API based Web Services.

Designing and developing software solutions using multiple software technologies such as Java, Scala, Python, C , SQL, JSON, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Oracle Stored Procedures.

Developing Database driven software solutions using mixing and matching both SQL and No-SQL technologies.

Experience related to Big Data Analytics using technologies such as HDFS/Hadoop, Map-Reduce.

Experience with high performance Columnar DBs, such as HP's Vertica.

Experience developing in a Linux Environment is desirable.

Linux, Networking, Storage, or DB Administration skills.
