We are currently looking for an Application Developer (Entry) to work at Randolph AFB, TX. The candidate who fills this position will be a full time employee of HPES supporting our HRSTS contract. Specific Job Duties Include: Applies basic foundation of a function's principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Utilizes professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. 0-2 years experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) COBOL, PL/1, Java, C, C , C#, VB.Net. Basic Understanding of RDBMS databases such SQL Server and Oracle. Basic understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting. Experience using (or an understanding of the use of) an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio). Responsibilities: - Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on local, networked, and Internet- based platforms. - Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines. - Executes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements. - Participates as a member of project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem. -Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution. - Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills. - Designing software applications running on multiple platform types. - Apply Software applications testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools. - Effectively communicate design proposals and options. - Participates as a member of development team. - Completes development of units with designs prepared by more senior developers. - Participates in code reviews. - Prepares and executes unit tests. - Applies growing technical knowledge to maintain a technology area (e.g. Web-site Development).

- Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 0-2 years of related experience.
- May include highly experienced individuals performing entry level equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.
- Possesses National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC) or active Government Secret security clearance
