Job Description

Software Designers work in a variety of SW / Cloud / IoT areas related to printing.

* Work as a part of R&D team to develop the SW to enable printing systems. Teams are responsible for defining and delivering high quality software through the SW agile development model. This also includes partnering with other teams to deliver towards expanding solutions.
* Adopt the necessary tools and processes to deliver high quality and robust SW that meets the end customers' needs
* Work closely with QA to ensure that all the software meets/exceeds end user expectations as well as quality and robustness criteria.

Qualifications include:


* Bachelor's (undergraduate) or Master's (graduate) degree in a technical discipline (e.g. computer science, information technology, engineering, math, physics, etc.)

Experience and knowledge

* Demonstrate applied software development skills around XML, VB, HTML/DHTML, C#, and/or C++. Practical experience of the software development lifecycle. Practical experience with multiple programming languages and technologies such as Java, C, C++, Perl, Shells Script/Korn Shell, etc. Knowledge about web development areas (i.e. Flash, PHP, HTML, etc.) would be helpful.
* Demonstrated knowledge & experience of software engineering principles, methodologies, and procedures. Understanding of application development environments, including common IDEs and process tools is helpful. Demonstrated experience in organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks/projects simultaneously including ability to exercise independent judgment.


* Software Engineering specifics include: In-depth experience in the design, development and implementation of software solutions (application, cloud, IoT, etc); Understanding of Solution Development Lifecycles (ex: Agile Development, XPlanning, traditional waterfall, etc.); Knowledge and demonstrated experience of Quality Assurance and testing methods; & Skills in rapid prototyping.
* General: Ability to work effectively in diverse, foreign, and multi-cultural environments; Ability to creatively solve problems; Solid English oral and written communication skills.
