Job Description

As part of HP's PWP (PageWide Web Press) Aftermarket Delivery Team, you will be instrumental in bringing new printing capabilities to market. PWP is a young dynamic organization focused on delivering game-changing printing technology to the commercial printing markets. Your focus in this position will be delivering product extensions, cost reductions, and bringing them to the customer. You will also have Engineering Responsibility for a currently released Press Platform and Winder suite of products. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

From your location in Corvallis, Oregon, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that develops the technical and business capabilities to build, integrate and deploy inkjet web presses and their associated sub-systems. These presses are as large as a semi-truck and as complex as a modern car; initiative, technical aptitude, communication skills and an ability to work closely with a team of experienced professionals will be key to your success.

As the Press Platform Engineer, you will work in a dynamic and changing environment. This will require skills to solve interdisciplinary problems with a focus on continuous improvement of our product and processes. The business requires our team to both resolve the immediate urgent issues and develop our quality processes in support of business objectives.

This role involves working closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Vendor engineering teams to bring design changes and new platforms extensions to the market. You will design, develop and implement product improvements and cost reductions. You will work closely with the PWP Install Teams to enable fast and effective installations at customer's sites. You will drive continuous improvement of the product, process and quality system to exceed customer expectations and deliver on the HP brand.

Education

Bachelor's (undergraduate) or Master's (graduate) degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics. Relevant work or class experience and results more important than specific engineering discipline.

* Computer skills- Microsoft Office Suite, competent in use of Excel
* Fluency in English
