Product Integration and Test Engineer

Description -

The purpose of Writing Systems Engineering is to integrate the printbar and printer system performance and reliability in order to deliver the right product performance and reliability at the lowest possible R&D spend and product cost. This entry level position will be responsible for discovering, owning and solving issues on the printbar, supply, and ink through System Test methods.

The key elements of this job are:

* To make judgments on product quality and reliability with the customer in mind.
* To provide an optimized writing system design to achieve performance and reliability goals through iterative, integrated development, testing, and evaluation of various writing system components (printheads, inks, media, mechs, service stations, printmodes, ink delivery systems & supplies.)
* To understand the fundamentals of a product/process design, create tests that would discover issues, understand performance, and characterize the product, and be able to provide data to validate product performance.
* Key tactics include: test setup, understanding and modifying test suites, understanding printers, understanding Inspector and Panther, visually checking print samples, database query, data analysis, making conclusions, communicating conclusions, and driving improvements in design and manufacturing.
* To lead teams and task forces throughout the development cycle to ensure products delivered to the end customer are robust
* To partner with the design teams, printer divisions, and manufacturing to ensure robust product design, reliability, and performance.
* To establish engineering metrics that help guide both component and system level designers.
* To document and transfer specifications, justifications, and knowledge to our manufacturing partners to assure a robust product for the whole product life cycle.

Education and Experience Required:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer Science or other, related engineering discipline

Knowledge and Skills:

* Good analytical and problem solving skills.
* Strong teamwork skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
