Job Summary:

This position is for a recent college graduate - to qualify you must have graduated within the past 12 months or should be graduating in 2017.

As a Firmware Development Engineer you contribute to the advancement of inkjet printing technology for HP Inc. As a member of a multi-discipline team, you will be involved in investigations on new product technology

from the design center of the world's leading printing products. You will contribute to all phases of embedded software development. You will work on problems/projects of diverse complexity; Exercise independent judgment to identify and select a solution; Acquire and apply subject matter knowledge to solve business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Areas of firmware development work include Network Security, Mobility, IoT and other connectivity solutions.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills

* Strong knowledge of Software & Firmware Engineering principles
* Strong knowledge /experience with real-time embedded systems
* Strong knowledge of Operating Systems principles
* Demonstrable programming skills in C and C++
* Exposure to Linux Operating environment
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
* Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, designs.

Desired Skills and Experience:

* Knowledge of multiple firmware design tools and languages
* Experience with Designing, developing firmware and integration with other sub-systems
* Knowledge of build systems and processes
* Experience/Exposure to Firmware testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
* Exposure to mobility , Security or IoT technologies, protocols
