Part-Time Customer Service Representative

The position is responsible for answering a multiple line telephone system, responding to customer questions and concerns, providing information that helps customers to make purchasing decisions, processing subscription orders, working in conjunction with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction, and accomplishing various daily circulation reports. We’re looking for someone who has computer and communication skills, the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, a genuine interest in helping people, and a solid history of work attendance. Job Description

The Herald-Mail Company is accepting applications for a part-time Circulation Customer Service Representative (28 hrs/wk) to provide support and to facilitate the circulation customer service needs. This position will work as the liaison between carriers, district managers and the circulation department.

Position Details:

  • Communicate with customers, carriers and district managers in a daily deadline environment
  • Maintain accurate records of customer complaints/requests and provides information to delivery team
  • Directly contribute to the resolution of customer complaints
  • Responsible for answering multi-line phones and taking messages
  • Greet walk-in customers and assist
  • Enter vendor data for accounting purposes and to maintain database
  • Follow-up on customer service issues to ensure successful outcomes
  • Dispatch carriers to subscribers in the case of missing newspapers
  • Perform general office duties as assigned
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays

Experience and Education:

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some college preferred
