Job Description

Position Summary

The Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist provides operational support to ensure successful delivery of Berkadia's recruitment and onboarding processes.

Responsibilities

Onboarding Specialist

* Partner with HR Leadership to develop and implement an effective onboarding program, with tools and resources that create a positive new hire experience
* Execute an exceptional and consistent onboarding experience, including regular communication with new hires at various stages during the onboarding process as well as coaching and guidance of managers on how to effectively onboard new hires for increased engagement and retention
* Update and track information, forms, and reports on SharePoint site and shared network drive. Ensure accuracy of system data, managing workflow tool, and monitoring system effectiveness.
* Establish metrics; collect and analyze data related to the onboarding experience; monitor and report on the status and usage of the onboarding program and processes; identify and recommend program improvements
* Develop resources and materials to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the onboarding process.
* Partner heavily with other Teams, including HR, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Technology, and Learning & Development.
* Collection and tracking of New Hire information including signed offer letters, conflict of interest forms, etc.
* Conduct pre-employment screening, such as references and performing background checks.

Talent & Recruitment Support

* Helps to promote employer brand by writing and posting effective job advertisements across multiple channels including career websites, job boards, social platforms and universities boards.
* Manages TA social media pages and leverages technical recruitment tools including LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.
* Actively participate in Co-Op and internship program planning and execution.
* Partner with universities and colleges, diversity student organizations, and digital platform vendors on plans that will build our talent pipeline.
* Developing strong relationships with faculty and students to facilitate the networking and branding of Berkadia at targeted schools.
* Planning and managing key recruiting activities (i.e. coordination of job fairs, career events, Intern onboarding, etc.)
* Coordinate and schedule interviews for hiring managers while effectively synchronizing the hiring manager and candidate calendars, and conference room reservations.
* Administer pre-employment assessments.
* Manages 'Preferred Vendor' list by coordinating with preferred staffing agencies, maintaining files with contracts and servicing as a liaison between Berkadia and any staffing companies.
* Track and maintain Employee Referral Process for TA team.
* Assist with interviews and phone screens as needed.

Applicant Tracking System Management

* Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system and assist in managing dashboards for hiring managers and HR Business Partners.
* Assist with entering and updating candidate records in applicant tracking system.
* Ensures ATS is operating in an effective manner, partnering with IT and other departments to resolve issues, enhance system functionality, etc.

Department Administrative Support

* Reviews incoming emails in Talent Acquisition inbox and provides them to the appropriate team member for resolution.
* Coordinates interviews while effectively coordinating the hiring manager and candidate calendars, candidate travel, and conference room reservations.
* Other duties as assigned.
