About Hebrew Academy of Long Beach

We are committed to enriching the summer experience of each child. We offer a wide array of activities such as T'fila, chinuch, swimming, sports, creative crafts, creative movement, music, dance, special events and trips. Many of our staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR, our swim staff is comprised of certified lifeguards, and there is always a registered nurse on site. All of our staff are Shomrei Torah u' Mitzvot, fine individuals who serve as role models as well as group and specialty counselors. They are dedicated to fostering physical, social and emotional growth in the children under their charge. Our Long Beach Campus is an idyllic summer resort for three distinct divisions: Pre-Schoolers (ages 3-5); Boys and Girls (separately grouped) entering Grades 1-3; and Girls entering Grades 4-8. Each division has its own exclusive location, Division Head, and custom-designed, age-appropriate program. Our Woodmere Campus serves as a Sports Fraternity for Boys entering Grades 4-8 with its emphasis on Torah, Sports, Midos, Ruach, Special Programs, and weekly, full-day Trips--including overnights. Special Programs include scuba diving instruction, golf, tennis, strength training and conditioning, and woodshop. The centerpiece of our Sports Program is Softball and Net--i.e. Hockey, Basketball and Soccer--Leagues. The Campus also features Shachris and Mincha minyanim, experienced and dynamic rabbeim, and indoor swim (rain or shine). The ideals and philosophy that guide our program reflect the educational and religious goals of the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach in the context of a special and unique summer experience. Our focus is on each child-and by extension, each child's parents. Our efforts are geared towards a safe, stress-free environment, and action- packed fun combined with derech eretz.
