Job Description

NBC5/WPTZ is looking for anorganized, detail-oriented team player with exceptional written and verbalskills, and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. A positiveattitude and professional demeanor is essential along with the flexibility towork in a rapidly changing environment. Individual will work closely with thesales team to ensure effective placement of sales activity. Specifically,the Local Sales Assistant will work with the sales force on processing advertising contracts, obtainingcreative materials, generating support materials for sales team, andcoordinating the scheduling and launch of advertising campaigns. Job Responsibilities:

* Entering and maintaining all national orders including electronictransfer and maintenance of all MediaLine/WOCentral orders to WideOrbit.
* Assist in the development of sales proposals, advertising packages and clientpresentations.
* Create supportive marketing materials for sales department.
* Effectively communicate with internal teams (sales, production, finance) andexternal clients on performance and delivery of campaigns.
* Maintain organized filing systems
* Prepare proposals based on account executive requests
* Keep progress tabs on various sales initiatives.
* Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers and clients to deliver ahigh-level of service.
* Interact with co-workers, clients and the viewing public in a professionalmanner, both on the phone and in person.
* Management of front desk inColchester office, including reception, mail management and delivery/shipping.

Experience Requirements:

* Must have computer and software experience, including MS Office.
* Previous office and/or salessupport experience preferred.
* Previous commercial television experience a plus.
* Military experience will be considered.

Qualifications Requirements:

* Ability to learn or current proficiency in proprietary andindustry-specific software, such as WideOrbit, Marshall Marketing andMediaLine.
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment, manage multiple projectsand tight deadlines.
* Consistently meet deadlines in a challenging and dynamic environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
* Must be highly-focused, organized, and detail oriented.
* Must take pride in work, respond to instruction well, thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment, enjoy working independently and perform at a consistentlyhigh-level.
* Deal with the daily stresses and pressures associated with commercialtelevision sales.
* Extreme attention to detail.


* College degree or equivalent experience.
* Related military training and experience will be considered.
