Why Intern with our Service Delivery Operations (SDO) team?

Our Service Delivery Operations (SDO) department has positions for students who enjoy working with others and take initiative. During our 10-week Summer program at HCSC you might get involved in large enterprise wide projects or putting new enhancements into production and managing change in a complex environment. The position will give you deep insight into member services, claims and claims processing.

Your internship will be with one of the following Teams:

Benefits Management Team:

The Reporting & Analytics Intern will be responsible for assisting the Benefit Management Program Team to ensure project deliverables and other work is produced timely and in alignment with Benefit Management strategy and workflow. You will be working in a matrix project environment with an opportunity to showcase data analysis, coding and automation skills. We expect you to be an actively engaged member among a highly integrated project team.

Product Performance Group (PPG) Team:

The Reporting & Analytics Intern will collaborate with the PPG team on creating reports using data from internal and external sources to provide insight, providing consultation to users and partnering with functional leaders/cross-functional teams to address the product's issues by performing research, and assisting in analyzing complex business problems and data related to the product's strategic initiatives and broader business needs.

Network Solutions Analytics Team:

The Data and Analytics Intern will help the team as they develop and lead strategic initiatives designed to identify improvement opportunities focused around optimizing care delivery outcomes for our members and with our network providers. Our teams provide advanced analytics expertise, applications, complex reporting and education to various stakeholders that realize the value of our advanced analytic reporting. Ability to analyze large data sets derived from claims, members and providers, and then present in an informative and easy to consume manner, is how we are able to succeed.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

* Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, STEM or related field
* Graduation date between December 2020 - June 2021
* A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
* Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer
* Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
