University Relations - IT Corporate Strategy Intern - Sophomore Internship

It is vital that health insurers commit the time and resources to bring an innovation mindset to improving the health and well-being of their members. We have made a lot of changes in how we deliver new technology-driven capabilities at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) and these changes are fueling our technology-forward strategy.

Why Intern with our IT team?

Our IT department has positions for students who enjoy working with others and take initiative. During our 10-week Summer program HCSC will empower you with a scaled agile model, high-impact IT team, and the best technical tools that will enable you to collaborate with business partners in an exciting industry full of possibilities.

In addition to the challenging, real-world projects, you will have the opportunity to join weekly networking opportunities among interns and company leaders, professional development workshops, involvement in Business Resource Groups, and plenty of volunteer` activities. Even better, internships can translate into full-time roles!

Your internship will be in one of the following areas. You will be asked to share your preferences during the application process.

Corporate Strategy Intern

Business Analyst Intern

You will be a key contributor to the Applications team by providing critical data analysis, project support, and innovative insights for process improvements. Some responsibilities may include identifying opportunities for optimization, demand management, cost savings, and improved ROI across targeted spend.

Preferred Majors: Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Innovation Intern

You will have the opportunity to apply human-centered design. This position is responsible for contributing to the strategic, systemic thinking-and action-to all incubator design phases [planning, research, concept development, prototype and pilot], projects and processes.

Engagement Intern

You will help create and drive effective change processes in collaboration with other IT and business partners (i.e., Corporate Communications, HR, etc). Projects may include IT training strategy and design, community engagement event planning, and/or organization change initiatives.

Preferred Majors: Human Resources, Communications, Business, or IT.

Preferred Background: Experience with change management processes.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

* Sophomore pursuing a bachelor's degree
* Graduation date between December 2021 - June 2022
* A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
* Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer
* Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
* Previous internship experience preferred
