Under the direction of the PCA Supervisor, the PCA is responsible for assisting in the OR with, the ordering and receiving of supplies, equipment, storage and housekeeping.

* The PCA is responsible in the OR for use of information systems related to inventory management, maintenance of supplies: out-dates, rotating stock and supply management within the surgical services departments.
* The PCA is responsible in the OR for assisting in maintenance of a safe, clean and age appropriate environment under the direction and supervision of the intra-operative RN.
* The PCA is responsible in the OR for assisting in providing care to meet the patient/family physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural and educational needs with the supervision of the intra-operative RN.
* The PCA is responsible in the OR for performing, as directed, those tasks, which will assist the intra-operative RN in providing intra-operative patient care based upon the Department's standard of practice and standard of care
