Job Description

The Hayden School District has an opening for a District Finance Director/Human Resources. Must have a strong background in governmental accounting. 

A Finance Director will be expected to perform any of the following tasks: Provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position. Take overall control of the company's accounting function.

Finance Director Job Duties:

• Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk

• Contract auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date

• Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants

• Update and implement financial policies and procedures

• Maintain a policy manual for the finance department

• Work with human resources employees to secure candidates who will be an asset to the finance department

• Establish and implement a training program for new finance employees.

Human resources specialists are responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and placing workers. They may also handle employee relations, payroll and benefits and training. Human resources managers plan, direct and coordinate the administrative functions of an organization.

Human Resources Manager Job Duties:

• Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

• Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.

• Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
