Job Description

The Hawaii Foodbank is the only nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency in
the state of Hawaii that collects, warehouses and distributes mass
quantities of both perishable and nonperishable food through nearly
200 charitable agencies on Oahu and Kauai for the last 35 years.
Our organization forms a vital link with food donors, charitable
agencies and the hungry in Hawaii by collecting, inspecting,
storing and distributing donated and purchased food. Last year, the
Hawaii Foodbank distributed over 13.7 million pounds of food from
our warehouse locations in Oahu and Kauai. Of the total amount
distributed, over a quarter consisted of fresh produce.
The Board of Directors is seeking a President/CEO who will be
responsible for the overall supervision, leadership, administration
and management of the Hawaii Foodbank in fulfilling its mission to
provide hunger relief to the communities of Oahu and Kauai.
Responsibilities include planning and evaluation, policy
development, personnel and fiscal management including public
relations and fundraising. The President/CEO will strengthen the
Foodbank's role in the community while providing leadership within
the organization among staff members.
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited college with 5-10
years related experience. Responsible experience in senior
management in the areas of finance, fundraising, public relations,
personnel management, program development. Commitment to the
Foodbank's mission to end hunger is essential.
