Brand Writing Intern, Fall 2017

Our toy division brand writing team seeks ambitious, creative undergrad or graduate students interested in learning about the field of brand writing and editorial development. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and creative skills and be able to work autonomously in support of development of packaging, instructions, content, and other brand communications.

We are currently interviewing for fall 2017 and will be hiring 2 students to work part-time, 20 hours a week each. This is a paid position and offers an excellent opportunity to earn college credit, break into the field, practice professional writing and editing, and gain valuable experience for your resume.

Key Responsibilities:• Brainstorming product names and taglines• Researching relevant product and competitive information• Accurately proofreading written material and artwork, and communicating revisions clearly and accurately to graphic designers• Writing for product packing and instructions• Researching relevant product and competitive information

Requirements:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and should have work experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas: English, Marketing, Creative Writing, Business Writing, Communications and/or Business Administration.

Skills:• Excellent command of the English language, grammar, and punctuation.• Attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.• Knowledge of Macintosh operating systems and MS Office applications and Adobe.• Ability to learn quickly and maintain a positive attitude.

Qualifications for Intern program:

Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree program, graduates in May 2017 or earlier are not eligible for our intern program

Interviews will be held in September via SKYPE, on campus or in person in Pawtucket, RI.
