Associate Project Manager - Action Brands

The Action Brands Development Organization is seeking a highly innovative, energetic, and motivated Associate Project Manager to join our Team. Utilizing strong communication, organization, negotiation and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible and accountable for information flow amongst the development team and key business partners under the guidance and coaching of department management and business leaders. This includes interfacing with diverse multi-functional teams at our Rhode Island headquarters, and direct communication with product development partners in Hasbro's Far East offices. Overtime and with experience, you will actively participate and add value to the product development process by pro-actively identifying potential delays or road blocks further down the development process and helping the team to implement innovative methods and solutions to deliver on products on-time. As part of the development team, you will be trained on how to create the initial development plan, how to facilitate and lead our development reviews/meetings, and to participate in the decision-making process throughout the product development cycle.

This position reports to the Sr. Project Manager and is based in Pawtucket, RI.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities::

Under the general direction of the Global Development Organization, you will:

• Lead and monitor the global development process, working with the cross functional development team, external suppliers & partners to deliver project goals.
• Act as the liaison with multi-disciplinary teams and global partners, communicating brand and/or project information
• Create project development schedules in support of the Global Development Calendar, and prioritize activities of the project team members to ensure adherence to the plan. Suggest innovative ideas and methods for reducing development timelines.
• Escalate potential schedule risk to the Project Lead and provide recommendations.
• Facilitate development meetings and communicate action plans developed by team.
• Maintain roadblock/action items list for key projects and drive team towards resolution.
• Partner with global operations to provide early warning of availability delays and adapt development plans based on market forecast revisions.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve management reports and ensure data is accurate in informational systems.
• Define and maintain metrics reporting for the group. Ability to analyze data and convey information clearly.
• Identify and support continuous process improvements for the global development organization, and train others.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BS/BA in business or technical area preferred
• Project Management certification a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Project and Excel experience preferred
