Digital Game Play Design Co-op, Fall 2017

This co-op will be located in our Pawtucket, RI office, our Global Headquarters working to support Nerf Vector game design user journey, with light digital prototyping. We are looking for team members who are fearless with their ideas and are looking to develop their talents. Candidates will ideate and build digital game play experiences, while working in an innovative and creative environment. We offer an amazing experience to learn from some of the industry's top designers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hasbro's Integrated Play team (iPlay) is looking for an Interaction Design Co-op to support game design user journey, with light digital prototyping. The primary role of the intern will be to:

- Support the digital project lead on designing game play and moment by moment user experience

- Support the execution of key phases of internal deliverables from storyboards through user experience flows through comps and walkthroughs

- Support the digital project lead to ideate and design the Physical + Digital user experience, and supporting consultation with broader teams.

- Support the interaction design development trough basic software prototypes (Unity, Processing, …)

- Scoping and executing projects within an iterative environment with a mix of solid and flexible milestones and with fluid resource availability.

Secondary role will include:

- Contribute to ideation on new gaming opportunities as needed.

Learning opportunities include:

- Developing a user experience design, articulating the vision and moment-by-moment experience, notably to cross-functional team members who may be non-gamers

- Scoping and executing projects within an iterative environment with a mix of solid and flexible milestones and with fluid resource availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired area of study: Game Design

Visual Communication. Desired software includes Proficiency in Photoshop, After Affects, Illustrator.

Graphic design or Unity Development coding skills for user experience prototyping

Basic Programming (to prototype basic interactions related to the user experience)

Strong communication skills (clarity, assertion)

Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, open-minded, collaborative)

Candidates must submit an online portfolio to be considered for Hasbro's Design Co-op program. Please include samples to help us understand your visualization process. Innovative digital products, awesome game play experiences.

Qualifications for Co-op program:

Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree program, May 2017 graduates are not eligible for our program

Candidates are responsible for their own housing & transportation

Interviews will be offered in AUGUST via SKYPE

Must be able to take the semsester off to work Monday - Friday 40 hours a week
