Associate Operations Planner

Function/Purpose:

Our fast-paced US Allocation (Flow) & Demand Planning team is looking for an Associate Operations Planner with experience in consumer products. The Associate Operations Planner will partner with Sales, Marketing and Operations to determine what to buy, when to buy it and how to distribute it to our customers to support retail. They will then create a monthly purchase plan at all distribution levels for each item within the portfolio. In addition, they will work with Global Planning to understand our supply vs retail need and manage the flow and allocation of product to our retail customers. The Associate Operations Planner must understand and consider retailer set needs, promotional plans, POS, and out of aisle requirements and work with management to resolve conflicts as required. This execution by this team has a direct impact to customer in stock rates and has an impact to revenue generation based on the equitable distribution on product to our retail partners

Key Responsibilities:

Propose inventory commitment & distribution requirements, for brand portfolio worth approximately $100M, necessary to drive high service levels and high fill-rates for our key retailers.

• Develop Three Month Allocation Plans based primarily on thorough and continuous analysis of the following factors: field forecasts, determination of LC vs. domestic needs, Ad requirements and promotions, just-in-time weekly replenishment orders, POS and weeks of supply, version management, historical fair share of category and percent of corporate volume.

• Identify and establish merchandise requirements for the spring and fall season retail plan-o-grams.

• Establish clear, concise, and timely communication with the Sales, Operations Planning, HFE and their management team as required on all critical and allocated items to include issuing monthly Allocation decks which are used to make allocation adjustments when/if necessary.

• Approve, modify, or decline special promotions or print advertising based on availability of product.

• Partner with Marketing and the Operations team to ensure Hasbro's advertising efforts will be supported with national distribution of featured product.

• Maintain the 12-month rolling inventory requirement, by month, for each 8-digit planning material, by distribution channel, in the SAP Demand Planning module.

• Collaborate with U.S. Marketing and Global Operations teams to maintain full year consensus forecasts at the 5th-digit sku level.

• Collaborate with U.S. Marketing and Global Operations teams to maintain full year consensus forecasts at the 8th-digit sku level. Key factors needing consideration in this process are retail transitions between current/new package changes, wave management and ship dates (1st avails).

• Collaborate with manager to deliver divisional Quarterly and Year Ending Inventory budget. Adjust purchase plans accordingly based on direction from team management and divisional leaders as financial objectives change.

• Develop and maintain Ad hoc reporting related to demand and allocation planning.

Education and Experience Requirements:
:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management or related field

• 1-3 years' experience in a Consumer Products Retail Allocation environment preferred; or equivalent experience in Sales, Merchandising, or Marketing in a Consumer Products environment will be considered

• Ability to adapt and learn in a fast pace work environment to achieve, with a sense of urgency

• Strong Excel, analytical, process and workflow skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Proficient knowledge of business programs including MS Office with advanced Excel skills.

• SAP experience preferred

• Analytical approach and aptitude for analysis in large data environments
