Systems Engineer - Mobile

We are on the forefront of enabling our business teams to leverage IT to be more efficient and effective in our product development lifecycle. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining highly scalable solutions including continuous delivery, optimization, monitoring, release management and support for all production and development application systems, including web front end, back end, IoT, and mobile technologies. As a member of the team, you work alongside Software Developers, External Studios, Product Development Teams and Engineers to ensure our services and products seamlessly move from development to production for internal and cloud based applications.

Responsibilities:
• Engineers the support and maintenance of large-scale production and pre-production infrastructure, including the design and development of tools and scripts to assist with maintenance.• Engineers release pipelines to support in-house product teams, allowing for regularly scheduled product builds and deployments of full stack applications and infrastructure.• Plans and implements system security policy, to include access control, host and client access, file permissions, and user accounts.• Plans and coordinates system utilization, and performs growth analysis and capacity planning.• Reviews current systems and makes technical/process recommendations for improving efficiency.• Provides expertise in AWS, scripting, automation and support of application full stack.• Core database platforms supported include MongoDB, MariaDB and MySQL.• Work with geographically distributed Studios, working on different releases of the product• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Agile, Continuous Integration, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing Techniques• Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing and release management• Act as a technologist resource, to guide development teams with Software Architecture and recommendations for monitoring• Supporting role on the "on-call" rotation (24/7) maintaining a distributed, high availability software environment

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in software engineering• Basic scripting skills (bash, Python, C, JavaScript, etc.).• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems• In-depth knowledge of distributed internet technologies including TCP/IP, firewalls, load balances, and web application architectures.• Experience configuring and maintaining source code control systems such as GitLab/GitHub/bitbucket/perforce.• Experience with design, development and testing of automated deployment scripts. (Jenkins etc.)• Operational Knowledge of NoSQL software like MongoDB, memcache, ElasticSearch• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and SOAP• Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems• Methodical approach to problem solving utilizing tools and techniques• Construction of concise and complete technical documentation.• Good listener who can translate requirements to actions.• Detailed understanding of the goals and requirements of the business supported.• Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment• Collaborative work-ethic must be a priority
