Graphic Designer - Games Design & Development

Entertainment & Licensing Team

In the role as Graphic Designer you are responsible for the design and execution of impactful packaging and collateral materials that articulate and reinforce the brand/product position in cooperation with various licensing partners. This position reports to the Creative Manager and works closely with graphics, engineering, marketing and product design & brand writing. The successful candidate will have an excellent sense of design, typography, package/brand architecture and technical skills necessary to create finished designs within licensed guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and execute licensed packaging in keeping with the brand position while adhering to item level budget
• Work with various licensing partners and develop/maintain those critical relationships
• Partner with marketing, product design, brand writing to meet the package requirements set forth by marketing
• Understand cross functional team member's roles and develop those relationships
• Demonstrates service-oriented behavior: e.g. respects internal review process, meets deadlines, handles negative internal feedback with professionalism and grace, produces professional-quality deliverables.
• Regularly juggle tight deadlines and changing priorities and thrive in an ever changing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing at a team level
• High level of creativity, passion and integrity
• Strong presentation skills
• Organized and able to multi-task in a high-volume environment

Skill Requirements:

• Previous experience working with licensing partners
• Intermediate proficiency in the following applications: PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign; basic to intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel in a Mac environment
• Ability to conceptualize and sketch ideas are extremely helpful
• Knowledge of visual design principals: graphic design, layout, typography, color, icon & logo development, branding, messaging
• Ability to produce impressive design solutions that communicate brand initiatives and objectives clearly

Manage item level photo shoots and photo shoot prep

• Development of presentation assets, comp packages ,etc.

• Understand QA and legal package requirements and apply to packaging

• Enthusiasm, positive attitude and ability to work well independently and in a team setting
• Ability and willingness to work under aggressive deadlines
• Is a self-starter and able to work with strong attention to detail

Experience and Education Requirements

• 4+ years of related professional experience
• BA in Design or related field
