Electronics Technician

Location: RI - Pawtucket

This position is responsible for the creation and implementation of electronic hardware and software to support prototype models in the Model Studio department. The candidate will partner with cross functional teams to develop electronic components and code to support development, presentations, commercials, and international events. The candidate is responsible to maintain electronic equipment and assist all team members with electronic needs and supplies. The applicant will support off-site events and commercials as needed to maintain prototypes and provide customer support globally. The candidate must be able to interact professionally in a way that instills confidence in the team they represent. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as well as excellent attention to detail and the capacity for information retention. A Proven ability to multi-task and deliver on-time results are essential to successfully fulfil requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: of Job:

List the typical duties performed on the job in order on importance. Describe these duties so that someone unfamiliar with the work will understand it. Number each duty and estimate the percent of time each one takes during a 12-month period.

1. 25% Partner with the development teams to create working prototypes to support development, presentations and global events through the generation of electronic hardware and software.

2. 20% Communicate with the various cross-functional team members (internal and external) on event logistics to ensure delivery, function, aesthetics and component/content accuracy.

3. 20% Travel off-site to set up and support trade shows, presentations, toy fairs and other events that require technical support

4. 10% Creating and generating code for working prototypes utilizing a variety of programming languages - C and assembly for embedded systems, and python, java, or C++ for connecting with apps and cloud services.

5. 10% Partner with Engineers and Designers to define electronics requirements based on flowcharts, game play, schematics, cam charts and any other relevant documentation

6. 10% Create RAPU servo control box to support animatronics sample development and presentations.

7. 5% Performs other duties as responsibilities necessitate or as assigned.
