LOCATION: Houston, Texas

SUMMARY:

The Downstream Analyst position is part of the downstream oil & gas sector group. This position supports subscription-based services by performing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis. The Analyst will serve as a technical resource for the Research & Consulting Team, and provide consultancy services for downstream covering petroleum refining and petrochemicals (olefins, aromatics, syngas based).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performance of qualitative and quantitative analysis for petroleum refining and petrochemicals (Olefins, aromatics, syngas-based).
* Completes consulting projects and follows up with clients through all stages of implementation basic to advance.
* Supports the development and delivery of projects to be included in the Company's long-range plan.
* Preparation of reports and presentations for management defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions.
* Support subscription-based services.
* Assists clients to resolve issues.
* Drafts consulting proposals.
* Handles confidential information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Legally authorized to work in the United States. Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.[1]
* Minimum five years' experience in research and consulting services.
* Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent in undergraduate or graduate school. Ability to meet deadlines and work as part of a team. Computer proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and PowerPoint. Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to interact and work in a team environment

PREFERRED QUALIFTICATIONS:

* Good understanding of Linear Programming
* Understanding of project economics and justification

[1] A Master's Degree and three years' experience will substitute for a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in the specified fields.
