Job Description

Harris-Stowe State University is a historically Black institution (HBCU) located in the heart of vibrant mid-town St. Louis, Missouri. Harris-Stowes beautiful campus is minutes from the renown Gateway Arch, St. Louis Zoo, St. Louis Art and History Museums, Forest Park and other cultural and educational institutions. Harris-Stowes diverse faculty and staff provide a wide range of academic programs to one of the most culturally diverse student bodies in the St. Louis region.

Summary:

The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Harris-Stowe State University is creating a pool of potential adjunct instructors to teach computer science. Appointments are for immediate and upcoming semesters. The successful candidate must possess a Doctorate or a Masters Degree in Computer Science or significant computer programming experience along with a Doctorate or Masters Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar field which heavily uses computational methods from an accredited university. Courses will be taught using Python 3 as the language of instruction.

Other Skills:

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
* Proficient in working with on-line educational platform
