Job Summary
Harley-Davidson Motor Company is seeking a Business Process Lead. This Lead will utilize best practices in order to analyze, support and lead the detail design and execution of production processes necessary to configure PLM Windchill to meet business requirements for Product Data Management (PDM). As a Business Process Lead, you will work closely with assigned core functional and IT Business Process Leads to research, analyze, design, recommend and develop solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies. This position requires the ability to direct the configuration and maintenance of PLM Windchill applications including modification of the design for existing and/or new reports, interfaces, workflows and data conversions. Position requires translation of user requirements to ensure that processes can be completely integrated into the current PLM footprint and strategic roadmap. The Business Process Lead will influence continuous improvement initiatives by using PLM and business process knowledge to support business operations. Strong project management and communication skills, combined with leading through influence, will be critical to success in this role. This position is business centric and the lead will act as a liaison between business teams and IT leaders.

Education Required
Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience Required
Minimum eight (8) years work experience in product development, engineering, supply chain, information management systems, materials and/or manufacturing related functions.

In addition the successful candidate will have:


• Demonstrated prior success developing solid business stakeholder relationships and credibility quickly through strong attention to detail, follow-up and follow through

• Demonstrate leadership/ownership of assigned functional area, including driving issue resolution (Key Decision Documents)

• Ability to lead a critical phase of a strategic PLM project implementation

• Ability to lead through influence and persuasion

• Project management and/or project implementation experience, including involvement in one full major systems implementation

• Capable of mentoring and leading small teams performing the previously defined activities

• Establish concepts, practices, and procedures at the team or department level using expertise in demonstrated areas

• Leads detailed discussions concerning requirements, architecture, and test strategy decisions

• Provides oversight and guidance to less senior members of the staff to help mitigate issues

• Demonstrates strong technical competence in skills associated with a specific software functional discipline

• Exhibits in depth knowledge of industry related guidelines and directs software activities based on PLM and business knowledge

• Possesses advanced problem solving, troubleshooting and CI skills

• PLM implementation experience required
