The Product Developmental Purchasing team members enable customization by driving timely development of high quality profitable accessories that fulfill customer's dreams.

The Product Development Purchasing Analyst will work in a cross functional product development team, working with engineers to deliver drawings to potential suppliers, with New Product Leads to understand and communicate costs and timing of the product in development, with Quality engineers to support the supplier in process controls and quality measures, with Product Managers to obtain product samples for marketing and promotion, and with the Supply Chain group to transfer purchasing responsibility once the product is introduced in to the market. Ultimately someone in this role is integral in delivering the new products for our bi-annual launch to drive revenue and profits. This particular role will focus on the OE life cycle plans related to chassis system components.

Key Deliverables:

This position will function as a key stakeholder in the product development process by:

• Managing supplier milestones, timing, & their impact to the overall project timing.

• Developing, qualifying, and delivering accessories per the product specifications.

• Influencing sourcing decisions & executing sourcing strategy.

• Estimating, managing, & negotiating costs throughout the development cycle - from concept to delivery

• Executing purchasing practices such as but not limited to requisitions, PO releases, capital and expense spending, etc.

• Managing supply chain risk, feedback & issues during development

Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline is preferred.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience. In addition, they will have demonstrated the following:

• Manufacturing knowledge - areas such as: metal fabrication, painting, chrome plating, sub-assembly, plastic molding, exhaust systems, suspension, brake systems, wheels, tires.

• Advanced quality planning - familiarity with automotive Production Part Approval Process(PPAP), first article inspection, control plans, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEAs), and process flows

• Project management - experience with Project management software - Microsoft project, etc. Timeline development, phase gate reviews, etc. Microsoft Access databases to track data and dates.
