The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it. We build it. Join our team as the Product Development Purchasing Analyst and help enable customization by driving timely development of high quality profitable accessories that fulfill customer's dreams.

Here is what you'll do:

• Directly integrate into a cross functional product development team, working with engineers to deliver drawings to potential suppliers, with New Product Leads.

• Understand and communicate costs and timing of the product in development.

• Work with Quality Engineers to support the supplier in process controls and quality measures, with Product Managers to obtain product samples for marketing and promotion, and with the Supply Chain group to transfer purchasing responsibility once the product is introduced in to the market.

• Participate in delivering the new products for our bi-annual launch to drive revenue and profits.

Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline is preferred.

Experience Required

• The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience.

• Manufacturing knowledge - areas such as: metal fabrication, painting, chrome plating, sub-assembly, lighting, electrical assemblies, plastic molding, exhaust systems, and engine machining and assembly.

• Advanced quality planning - familiarity with automotive Production Part Approval Process(PPAP), first article inspection, control plans, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEAs), and process flows

• Project management - experience with Project management software - Microsoft project, etc. Timeline development, phase gate reviews, etc. Microsoft Access databases to track data and dates.
