The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle and Powertrain Operations facility in Kansas City, MO employees produce the Sportster®, Dyna®, V-Rod® and Street families of motorcycles from fabrication and finishing through final assembly including the liquid-cooled RevolutionX powertrains for the Street motorcycles. Join us as a Quality Engineer. This is a 2nd shift position, with hours of M-TH 7pm - 5:30am.

Here's what you'll do:

• Facilitate activities in support of H-D's QMS (Quality Management System), support Continual Improvement activities that directly impact business performance, and transfer knowledge/skills that can empower key stakeholders to take action that contribute to the organization's success,

• Support and drive the use of quality/business tools, techniques, and methodologies

• Create an understanding of the products and services of functional areas, while facilitating the flow of information between functions.

• Lead the organization in embracing change and communicate the value and need for change.

• Support the use of quality tools in area of responsibility to increase quality skill/competency levels and impact business performance

Education Required
Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience Required

• Minimum of 3 years quality assurance experience

• Experience in Project Management, which may include planning, supervising, monitoring, and accomplishing the goals of specific project requirements.

• Experience in Problem Solving/Decision Making methods.

• Knowledge of QMS assessment, measurement techniques, and the product development process. Understands PC operations including systems and software.

• Experience in a team-based environment is a plus.

• Professional society/organization certification preferred (ASQ, APICS, etc.).
