The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join us as a Sales Forecasting Lead and support the U.S. region by forecasting retails sales projections, developing appropriate retail inventory levels, and analyzing/forecasting market share. The Lead will also analyze motorcycle market trends, segmentation, pricing and portfolio in order to optimize Harley-Davidson's competitive positioning in the US.

Here's what you'll do


• Provide continuous analysis of the motorcycle market in the US and translate results into recommendations to optimize the product / price / promotion mix in the US market in order to support the growth plans of Harley-Davidson.

• Lead the short, medium and long term forecasting activities of the subsidiary, considering supply / demand forces, retail inventory, optimal mix and longer term product plans to achieve growth and profitability.

• Support Motorcycle product programs and plans for wholesale & retail related activities

• Provide retail data and market insight for Motorcycle retail sales information. Work closely with Harley-Davidson's research partner to garner relevant research/analytical information to support/collect/share and act on market data/intelligence.

• Gather, analyze and report Motorcycle performance, supporting the forecasting function as required.

Education Required
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience Required
Minimum of 8 years of related experience, including data analytics, forecasting, and operating in a retail environment. Motorcycle/automotive experience considered a strong asset.

• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and obtain results with limited, direct supervision.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities.

• Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft applications.

• Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Incumbent must exhibit a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
